Yoga

The Roots of Hatha 200-hour TTC unfolds over 26 transformational days, thoughtfully divided between two stunning natural environments in Sri Lanka – offering you both depth in practice and richness in experience.

16 Days at Banyan Camp

Jungle Retreat Zone

Here, the simplicity of nature and the depth of yogic tradition meet – creating the perfect space to slow down, reconnect, and go within.

10 Days at Galle

Beachside Sanctuary

The final part of the training takes place in the coastal region of Galle, where the rhythm of the ocean complements your evolving practice. The beach setting invites lightness and joy, and supports the integration of all you’ve absorbed in the first half of the course.

What is Roots of Hatha

Roots of Hatha is a deep dive into the traditional practice of Hatha Yoga – where ancient wisdom meets embodied experience.

This comprehensive 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course (TTC) is designed to ground you in the authentic root teachings of Hatha Yoga. Guided by experienced teachers and rooted in the yogic scriptures, this journey will empower you to cultivate your inner peace.

Designed & Taught by Experienced Teachers

Roots of Hatha was created and is guided by two deeply dedicated and experienced teachers:

What to expect

This is a physically mildly intense yet deeply immersive course, designed for those ready to commit to the traditional yogic path – body, breath, and spirit.

Wake up each morning to the gentle sounds of birdsong in the heart of wild nature at Banyan Camp, surrounded by trees, lake, and stillness. Witness spectacular sunrises and sunsets at the ocean side. Enjoy vegetarian sattvic meals that are not only healthy but also deliciously nourishing.

Each day is anchored in three daily practices of yoga, meditation, and pranayama, creating a steady rhythm of self-discipline, inner inquiry, and transformation.

This is a space to slow down, purify, and awaken – not just to become a certified yoga teacher, but to experience the deeper essence of yoga as a way of life.
